The sounds
of the midway permeate the grounds as
thrill riders and children of all ages
enjoy their favorite ride. The smell of
cotton candy and corndogs fills the air.
As
you walk by the Band Boosters stand or
the Catholic stand, stop in and enjoy a
maid-rite sandwich or a full blown
delicious meal complete with pie.
Venture into the grandstands to
experience the thrill of the Chuckwagon
Races, Truck and Tractor pulls or the
excitement of Figure 8 Racing.
You
can tour the barns to see prize
livestock or go through the exhibit hall
to see who won the blue ribbon for their
area of expertise. You can do this from
the convenience of your camper because
the Big Four Fairgrounds boasts some of
the best shade covered camping for
around $15.00 a night. There are
events that take
place
on the fairgrounds throughout the year
including a Bluegrass jamboree so check
the official website for times and
dates.
